STARWOOD - NEW CEO
[ December 20, 2007, MONARCH BEACH ]
The ASFONA Board of Directors, together with the Starwood North Americas Advisory Board met with Frits van Paasschen, the new CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts at the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach - California in October. Following this a further meeting with the CEO took place in November also at the St. Regis Monarch Beach. The last ASFONA Board Meeting was held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers on February 27th 2008. The date and location of the next meeting will be announced shortly.

On at least two occassions each year the Senior Management of Starwood meet with the ASFONA Board of Directors to discuss business issues prevailing at that time. The St. Regis at Monarch Beach - California was scheduled for the Fall 2007 meeting.

At the invitation of Starwoods management, the ASFONA President spends one week, two times per year at the corporate headquarters in White Plains, New York. The most recent meeting was on June 5th through to June 8th 2007.

A meeting of the ASFONA Board of Directors took place at Le Royal Meridien King Edward Hotel on July 10th & 11th. The Board welcomed new board member, Gerry Chase the President & COO of New Castle Hotels & Resorts.

A meeting of the ASFONA Board of Directors was scheduled shortly after the announcement of Senior Management changes at Starwood. ASFONA BOARD MEETING
[ February 15, 2007, ORLANDO ]
Starwood Hotels & Resorts held a "Regional Meeting" in February 2007 in Orlando and at the same time, in the same venue they also held a one day "Owners Meeting" at which a number of the ASFONA Board members were present. The "Owners Meeting took place on February 15th. On the following day ASFONA had scheduled a Board Meeting, the agenda for which had to be changed to a more "General Meeting" as many board members were not able to be present due to the adverse weather conditions in the North.

Senior Management from Starwood Hotels & Resorts joined the ASFONA meeting in Orlando to present on two critically important areas of the business - Strategic Sourcing Procurement and Revenue Management.

SHERATON BRAND INITIATIVES
[ January 30, 2007, NEW YORK ]
Following discussions between ASFONA and Starwood relating to the importance of the positioning of Sheraton in North America, Steve Heyer had committed to undertake a major review of the brand. This was discussed at the meeting in Dallas in November 2006 and a commitment given to follow up in early 2007. Following this an Invitation was received by the ASFONA Board of Directors from Starwood to meet in New York on January 30th 2007 with Starwood Senior Management.

STARWOOD ASFONA MEETING
[ November 07, 2006, DALLAS - TEXAS ]
The ASFONA Board of Directors meet at least twice per year with the senior management of Starwood. The last meeting took place on November 8th at the "W" Hotel in Dallas. A follow up to this meeting took place on January 30th 2007 at the St. Regis in New York.
There was also a meeting of the ASFONA Board on November 7th. The new Associate Members and "Honorary Board Members" joined this meeting later in the day. Each Honorary Board Member was individually welcomed and gave an overview of their company.
