By-Laws – Overview
The purposes of the Association are to function as a non-profit association to foster and coordinate the activities of independent franchisees (“Franchisees”) operating under brands owned or controlled by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. or Starwood Hotels and Resorts (or any other name that may be used from time to time) (individually or collectively, “Starwood”), including, without limitation, Westin, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, St. Regis, Luxury Collection, Le MŽridien, W Hotels, aloft Hotels, and element (“Starwood Brands”), and owners of hotels managed by Starwood (“Owners”); to represent Franchisees and Owners in their collective dealings with Starwood; to encourage the growth of the Starwood hotel systems; to foster communications between the Starwood Franchisee and Owner community and Starwood and among Starwood Franchisees and Owners; and to do all things necessary and proper for the advancement of the Starwood Franchisees and Owners and the Starwood hotel systems.
