ASFONA BOARD MEETING

ORLANDO
Starwood Hotels & Resorts held a "Regional Meeting" in February 2007 in Orlando and at the same time, in the same venue they also held a one day "Owners Meeting" at which a number of the ASFONA Board members were present. The "Owners Meeting took place on February 15th. On the following day ASFONA had scheduled a Board Meeting, the agenda for which had to be changed to a more "General Meeting" as many board members were not able to be present due to the adverse weather conditions in the North.
At the Orlando meeting of the ASFONA team Board of Directors welcomed all of the Associate Members and "Honorary Board Members" to the group. This included some new "Honorary Board Members" who were attening their first meeting and to whom a special welcome was extended. As this meeting was planned in two segments, one being a general meeting and the other a meeting of the ASFONA Board, a number of guests had been invited to attend the General Meeting segment taking place first thing in the morning. On behalf of the ASFONA Board of Directors John Shingler welcomed each of the additional guests to the meeting.
At the General Meeting segment of the meeting two excellent presentations were made by Starwood executives, one by Paul Davis VP Strategic Sourcing (Procurement) and the other by Leslie Anderson VP of Revenue Management. Details on these presentations are reported on a seperate web page.
