Mr. Federico Sánchez-Ortiz is President & CEO of Interlink Group, a full-service development firm, with in-house capabilities in construction, project management, design coordination, sales and marketing, asset management and structured finance.

Mr. Sánchez-Ortiz joined Interlink Group in 1993. Interlink’s developments include El Convento Hotel in 1997, Las Casitas Village at El Conquistador Hotel in 1995 and 2003, the first AAA Five Diamond rated property in Puerto Rico. In 2004 the firm acquired Bahía Beach Resort & Golf Club, a 483-acre beachfront property on the north coast of Puerto Rico with two miles of pristine beach and surrounded by natural reserves. The project includes a St. Regis Resort, which opened in November 2010, a Robert Trent Jones II golf course managed by Troon Golf and entitlements for over 800 residences. Under Mr. Sánchez-Ortiz’s lead, the firm also developed the 503-key Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino that serves as the headquarters hotel for the Puerto Rico Convention Center District. The Sheraton recently received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and LEED certification during its first year of operation. In addition, Interlink completed construction of Cosmopolitan, the premier luxury condominium in San Juan, with 60 residential units and a beautiful view of the Condado Lagoon. Most recently, Interlink participated in the acquisition of the San Juan Marriott, a 525-room beachfront hotel and casino. Furthermore, Interlink is currently in the pre-development stage to build up a 5-star resort, marina, and a golf course on a 650-acre property in Beef Island, British Virgin Islands.

Mr. Sánchez-Ortiz received his Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross, an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an AMDP from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Mr. Sánchez-Ortiz is currently a Governor of the Urban Land Foundation, a Director of MAPFRE-PRAICO, the Baldwin School of Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Homebuilders Association, and the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. He is married to Claudia Ramos and is the proud father of three children: Federico (9), Ignacio (8) and Alejandra (5).
