Paul C. Picknelly is a hotel owner and operator as well as a commercial real estate developer. Picknelly's hotels consist of the Sheraton Springfield, Hilton Garden Inn-Springfield and the Country Inn in Holyoke, MA. Current hotel projects include the development of a new Hilton Garden Inn / UNO Chicago Grill in downtown Worcester, MA and the renovation of 100 year old office building into a upscale boutique hotel in downtown Springfield.
Paul is also the owner of several commercial real estate buildings which includes the Monarch Place office tower complex in Springfield, MA; the largest commercial real estate development project in Massachusetts outside the city of Boston.
In addition to serving on the board of the ASFONA, Paul Picknelly was appointed by the governor of Massachusetts as a board member of the Massachusetts Convention center Authority (MCCA). The authority is building the new convention center in Springfield, MA and operates the Hynes Auditorium in Boston and the new Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). Paul is also a director of the Greater Springfield convention & Visitor Bureau, Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Springfield Business Improvement District, Chicopee Savings Bank & Our lady of the Elms College.
