Mr. Wright led the sale of assets and personnel from GMAC Commercial Mortgage to The Bankers Bank in January 2005. The group of 25 professionals specializes in commercial mortgage finance in the Hospitality, Branded Restaurant and Convenience & Gas sectors. SFG also finances commercial operating equipment in the areas of Commercial/Industrial, Association, and Health Services. In his current capacity, Mr. Wright manages all aspects of SFG and reports to the CEO of The Bankers Bank, a leading correspondent bank and the largest of 21 bankers’ banks nationwide in terms of capital and asset size.
Prior to forming SFG, Mr. Wright founded the Asset-Backed Lending Group (ABL) of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation in September of 1997. As a De Novo, ABL evolved into an entity that was comprised of over $1billion of liquidity and $4.5 billion of assets under management.
Before the forming of ABL, Wright served in senior positions at Bass PLC/Holiday Inn Worldwide. During his 10 plus years at Bass PLC, Mr. Wright served as Managing Director for the Franchise Finance Division. Mr. Wright graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing and public relations. He is active in several professional associations and charitable organizations and also serves on the Board of Governors at the Ravinia City Club in Atlanta.
He is married to Paige Wright with two children, Luke (10yrs) and Katherine (7yrs) and resides in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
